THNIC Academy Holds Computational Thinking Workshop for High School Teachers in Surin Province
From November 7-9, 2024, THNIC Academy organized a ‘Computational Thinking Workshop’ for high school teachers and educational staff. The event took place at the Surindra Rajabhat University, with 35 participants from 25 schools under the Surin Secondary Education Service Area Office.
The workshop began with a welcome and project introduction by Mr. Tharakhorn Chanlapa, the THNIC Academy project coordinator. Prof. Dr. Akara Prayote, head of the Department of Computer and Information Science, alongside a team of instructors.
The sessions focused on a mix of theoretical lectures and hands-on lab exercises. The goal was to develop teaching methods in computational thinking—a key tool for teaching computer science and programming subjects.
THNIC Academy aims to equip teachers with the knowledge to effectively teach these concepts to students, helping build a solid foundation in programming skills. This initiative seeks to enhance students’ abilities in Surin Province, preparing them for future competitions and careers.
This workshop reflects THNIC Academy’s ongoing commitment to advancing education and strengthening Thai youth’s technological capabilities.
